Producers Bank Opens Lucena City, Quezon Branch

Producers Bank opens its sixty-fourth (64th) branch in Lucena City, Quezon on 29 July 2011 which is  located at M.L. Tagarao cor. Allarey St., Brgy. 3, Lucena City, Quezon. Lucena Branch is the second branch of Producers Bank in the CALABARZON region with Calamba Branch as the first branch which opened last 23 May 2011.

 Mr. Edmundo C. Medrano, Vice Chairman, President & COO, is pleased to announce that Producers Bank – Lucena City Branch is headed by its young and active Area Marketing Group Head, Mr. Greg V. Mangahas. Competent personnel make up the branch, namely, Ms. Geradee B. Barawid – Cashier, Mr. Mike C. Ordoñez – BOO/Accountant, Mr. Edwin S. Calayag – Loan Officer, Mr. Marvin Jon C. De Guzman – Loan Assistant, Mr. Sherwin R. Arle – Teller and Ms. Gyka Kamil Z. Magboo – NAC/Marketing Assistant.

 Lucena City is a first class highly urbanized medium-sized city in the province of Quezon. It is the capital city of Quezon and is one of the twenty-five (25) most competitive cities of the Philippines.

 The city has a population of 236,390 people in 45,902 households according to the 2007 census. It has a literacy rate of 98.6 percent thanks to the presence of a number of tertiary and secondary schools.

 Lucena is bounded on the east by Pagbilao, on the west by Sariaya and on the north by Tayabas. With a total land area of 8,316.90 hectares, Lucena City is subdivided into thirty-three (33) barangays.

 Also known as the Cocopalm City of the South, Lucena City is nestled amidst a wide expanse of coconut lands. It has a number of coconut oil mills which produce oil-based household products (i.e. cooking oil, soap, lard, margarine).

 Economic activities in the City are heavily concentrated in the poblacion and other sub-urban barangays. Industries in Lucena produce a sustainable amount of agro-industrial based products, dried and smoked fish, distilled liquors, bamboo and rattan furniture, ornamental flowers/plants, vegetable as well as meat products.

 Mr. Andres M. Cornejo, Chairman & CEO said that Producers Bank wishes to help the City of Lucena in its quest for sustainable growth and development. Mr. Cornejo added that Producers Bank offers a wide array of deposit and loan products and other financial services that cater to SMEs, professionals and farmers among others.

 The Bank’s goal to widen its network in the island of Luzon is being pursued further thru the opening of branches in CALABARZON. Currently Producers Bank has branches in the provinces of Albay, Aurora, Benguet, Bulacan, Cagayan, Camarines Sur, Isabela, La Union, Laguna, Nueva Ecija, Nueva Vizcaya, Pampanga, Pangasinan, Quirino, Sorsogon, Tarlac, Zambales and in the City of Pasig.
