Producers Bank Opens Zaragoza Branch

Producers Bank opens its sixty-seventh (67th) branch in San Isidro, Zaragoza, Nueva Ecija on December 29, 2011. This marks the seventh (7th) branch opening of Producers Bank in the year 2011.

Mr. Edmundo C. Medrano, Vice Chairman, President and COO, is pleased to announce that Producers Bank – Zaragoza Branch is headed by Mr. Rolando B. Simbulan, a veteran banker, as Area Marketing Head. Trained and service driven officers and staff make up Zaragoza Branch, namely, Ms. Michelle S. Cura as Branch Marketing Head, Ms. Julie Ann DC. Viesca as Cashier, Ms. Mildred P. Mariano as NAC/Marketing Assistant and Ms. Cherry Anne G. Cruz as Teller.

Zaragoza Branch is a third (3rd) class municipality in the province of Nueva Ecija. According to the latest census, Zaragoza has a population of 40,355 people in 7,599 households.

The municipality has a total land area of 11,760 hectares. It is located at the southern edge of Nueva Ecija bordering the town of La Paz, Tarlac. Zaragoza is bounded on the North and Northeast by Aliaga, on the East by Sta. Rosa, on the Southeast by Jaen, on the South by San Antonio, on the Northwest by Licab and on the West by La Paz, Tarlac. It is politically subdivided into nineteen (19) barangays.

Zaragoza is predominantly agricultural. Farming is the primary source of livelihood. Sixty percent (60%) of its total land area is devoted to agriculture. 4,977 hectares are devoted to palay production while the rest are devoted to other crops like pole sitao, ampalaya, bottle gourd (upo) and other crops. Duck-raising is also a notable industry.

The town got its name from the City of Zaragoza in Spain. Said Spanish City was the birthplace of Don Francisco Mas who was key to the founding of the Municipality of Zaragoza.

Mr. Andres M. Cornejo, Chairman and CEO, looks forward to serving the constituents of Zaragoza. With farming as the main source of livelihood, Mr. Cornejo wishes to further extend financial assistance to the town’s progressive farmers through the Bank’s Crop Loan.

Producers Bank now has fifteen (15) branches in the province of Nueva Ecija. Producers Bank Cabiao Branch was recently opened last September 30, 2011 while Cabanatuan South Branch also opens on December 29, 2011.
