Producers Bank launched its Mobile Crop Loan (MCL) on May 8, 2017 at Top Star Hotel, Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija. Producers Bank’s MCL is the first (1st) digital agricultural crop loan via Lendr in the ASEAN region.
The said product is developed in collaboration with FINTQ, the financial technology arm of PLDT, Smart and Voyager Innovations.
Mr. Andres M. Cornejo, Chairman & CEO of Producers Bank is happy with this new product as it will allow Producers Bank farmer borrowers to have fast and easy access to credit via their mobile devices. MCL via Lendr allows farmer borrowers of Producers Bank to apply online using their mobile devices without the need to go to the Bank’s branch office. They will be sent a text message informing them whether their loan application is approved or disapproved. It is only when their loans are approved that they need to go to the Bank’s branch office to submit their requirements and to sign their loan documents.
During the launch, Lito Villanueva, Managing Director of FINTQ discussed extensively how farmer borrowers can apply and avail of the MCL using their mobile devices. Five (5) farmer borrowers who applied for MCL via Lendr during the launch were immediately approved. 
Dr. Ramon Yedra of the Agricultural Credit Policy Council (ACPC) and Ms. Irene Adion of the Department of Agriculture -Regional Office III together with Producers Bank officers namely: Sandra C. Mendoza – Vice Chairman, Manuel A. Castaneda. III – President & COO, Gilda E. Pico, Director, Filipinas M. Fernandez, Executive Vice President for Branch Banking Sector, Cenon M. Ladringan – First Vice President, Peter Joel S. Cornejo – Assistant Vice President for Loans and Rodolfo E. Estioko, Assistant Vice President together with other Bank officers and staff were also present in the said launch.
