Producers Bank opens a full service branch in Escalante City, Negros Occidental on January 31, 2013. The branch office is located at Rotonda, Barangay Balintawak, Escalante City, Negros Occidental.

 

With the branch opening in Escalante City, Producers Bank will have a total of seven (7) branches in the Negros Occidental. Escalante Branch is open from Mondays to Saturdays except holidays from 9:00AM to 3:00PM.

 

Mr. Edmundo C. Medrano, Vice Chairman, President and COO of Producers Bank, is very pleased to announce the opening of Escalante Branch. He believes that the opening of Producers Bank will help further steer the local economy of Escalante. Producers Bank – Escalante Branch will be manned by competent and service oriented personnel namely, Arlene T. Villador as the Branch Head, Mary Grace B. Gantalao as Cashier, Santiago B. Nicor as Marketing Assistant and Jennifer E. Ricare as the Customer Service Associate.

 

Escalante City is a fourth (4th) class city in the province of Negros Occidental, Philippines with twenty one (21) barangays, six (6) of which are urban and the rest are rural barangays. Its economy is primarily dependent to large scale sugar production. In addition, its people is also engaged in home-based handicraft making which includes making (i) personal accessories such as cloth bags, assorted bags, native jewelry boxes, fashion accessories and beaded slippers, and (ii) home accessories such as mats (local banig), decorative coconut products, pottery, win-wing pan, coco mindribs, abaca products and decorative paper boxes. Another major industry in Escalante is food processing. The city boasts of its local products and delicacies like peanut brittle, peanut butter, chicharon, dried mango, cheese sticks, special polvoron, butter scotch, camote chips, barquillos, coconut candy “BUCAYO”, sweet atsara and unsalted boneless dried bangus. In addition, the city is also proud of its local beaches and resorts.

 

Mr. Andres M. Cornejo – Chairman and CEO of Producers Bank is optimistic that the opening in Escalante City will further strengthen the bank’s presence in the Negros Occidental. He further added that the Bank’s wide array of financial products and services can cater the financial needs of the people of Escalante City. Producers Bank also plans to open additional four (4) branches in the Negros Island, two (2) in Negros Occidental namely in Silay City and Hinigaran and two (2) in Negros Oriental namely Bais City and Dumaguete City making its total number of branches in Negros Island to eleven (11) within the year.
