Producers Bank will open its Dagupan City Branch on July 31, 2010 at Rizal St., Dagupan City, Pangasinan. Dagupan City Branch is the eleventh (11th) branch of Producers Bank in the province of Pangasinan and the twelfth (12th) in the Ilocos region.

DagupanCitybranch is the fifty-sixth (56th) branch of Producers Bank Luzon-wide. The branch is under the supervision of Ms. Amy A. Fernandez, SAVP and Area Marketing Head for Region I, CAR and Tarlac branches together with Mr. Arneldo C. Melgar – Branch Marketing Head, Ms. Twinkle V. Tabas – Cashier, Mr. Alexis T. Escocio – Bookkeeper, Ms. Ma. Cristina A. Carani – Marketing/Loan Assistant, Mr. Renard E. Hilomen – Marketing/Loan Assistant and Ms. Cheryll C. Ortaleza – Teller.

Dagupan is a first (1st) class city in the province of Pangasinan and is an independent component city of the said province. Based on the 2007 Census, Dagupan City has a total population of 149,554 individuals in 25,921 households.

The city of Dagupan is located on Lingayen Gulf and serves as the chief port and commercial and financial center of Northern Luzon. The city’s name is derived from pandaragupan in the local Pangasinan language meaning “gathering place” as the city has been a regional market center for centuries.

The rivers and the sea serve as potential sources of economic activity for coastal residents. One fifth (1/5) of the city’s total area consists of fishponds devoted to the culture of the tastiest milkfish in the country. Other fish products are also available year round. Dagupan City is known as the Bangus (Milkfish) Capital of the Philippines because of its abundance of fresh bangus. The City also intends to be known globally as the Bangus (Milkfish) Capital of the World.

DagupanCityhas a total land area of 4,446 hectares and is subdivided into thirty-one (31) barangays. It is bounded on the North by the Lingayen Gulf, on the Northeast by San Fabian, on the East by Mangaldan, on the South by Calasiao and by Binmaley on the West.

Producers Bank recently got the approval of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) in the former’s application for additional five (5) new branch licenses. The other four (4) branches to be opened will be in Manaoag, Malasiqui and San Carlos City in the province of Pangasinan, and in Maddela in the province of Quirino.
